Report

Guisborough played their final home game of the season and grabbed all three points by beating Huntington comfortably this afternoon.

The first half started quickly for Guisborough who scored two in the first 10 minutes, both assisted by Olivia Bullock and scored by Olivia Jeal. Charlotte Sellstrom got her first of the afternoon next, assisted by Rebecca Andrew. Huntington pulled one back before the break and the first half ended 3-1.

The second half saw plenty of goals, the first at 57 minutes, assisted by Toni Dooley and scored by Charlotte Walker. Two minutes later Olivia Bullock got her only goal of the afternoon, provided by Charlotte Walker. Another two quick goals at 65 minutes gained Ellie Todd a place on the score sheet, and Olivia Jeal a hatrick. Assists go to Charlotte Bennett and Charlotte ‘Tiny’ Sellstrom. Tiny got her brace at 75 minutes with Toni Dooley doubling her assists. Final goal of the game was scored by Olivia Jeal who got her fourth, with help from an Emma Walton Assist.

Another fantastic performance by the ladies, adding to their goal difference which may prove crucial in the race for the title. Player of the Match was of course awarded to Olivia Jeal for netting an impressive 4 goals, well deserved after a number of solid performances in recent weeks. The reverse fixture for Huntington will be played away on Wednesday evening. If the ladies perform like today it will leave them joint top with a game in-hand. Exciting time ahead for Guisborough
