Match Report

Starting on the front foot, Guisborough were creating lots of chances but it wasn’t until around the 20 minute mark when Anna Trainor was played through one on one to brilliantly slot it home past the keeper. Then a lack in concentration at the back causing an own goal put Richmond back level. Just before half time, Guisborough managed to regain their lead with another great finish by Scarlett Hames (sponsored by Shortys Gins) to go into the break 2-1 up.

In the second half, no more goals were scored despite creating an abundance of chances to make the lead more comfortable, much to the credit of Richmond’s goal keeper. However, Guisborough did limit Richmond to only a couple of shots on goal all game so can take that as a positive.
