Match Report
Guisborough Town Ladies travelled to York RI Ladies Reserves on Sunday.
From the start Guisborough started on the front foot playing some good attacking football. Within the first 15 minutes, Guisborough were 3-0 up with Scarlett Hames getting two and
Mac the other. York, to their credit, weren’t going to lay down easily and after a few good attacks got a goal of their own.
However, Guisborough struck back immediately with a good passing move down the right freeing Mac who crossed for Amelia Lucas to add the finish. Then a moment Elen Williams had waited for since she joined the ladies 2 and a half years ago, her first ever goal for the ladies. Just before half time the in form Scarlett grabbed her hat-trick with a great finish.
The 2nd half Guisborough kept playing some good football and had a fair few chances. But they could only add another 3 goals to their tally with a brace from Ellie Todd and a wonder strike from 30 yards by Rebecca Andrew.
Player of the match Alannah Inglis. Away player of the match Scarlett Hames.
