Match Report

Guisborough Town Reserves hosted fourth placed Kader on Saturday and, despite the difference in league positions, it was a very equal first half.

Guisborough were playing the better football but the final ball was always missing for much of the half while Kader were playing very direct game and were looking very threatening from set plays. Late in the first half, it was from one of these Kader set pieces that opened the scoring when a corner which was not fully cleared looped into the  back of the net.

Half Time: Guisborough Town Reserves 0-1 Kader

Kader started the second half on the front foot and having most of the play in the Guisborough half but without making any clear cut chances.

Guisborough, with some very good phases of passing football, created some good chances but again wasted their opportunities.

It was then Kader who got the second goal of the game from another set piece, this time a well placed freekick into the bottom corner.

Guisborough pushed to get a goal back and had a freekick themselves in a good position but they failed to make it count.

Again, Kader from yet another a set play scored their third with a header across goal into the bottom corner.
