Ladies Round off pre-season with 4-1 win

Guisborough Town Ladies ended their pre-season schedule with a 4-1 win over Seaham Coast Ladies at the Kevin Edward KGV on Sunday

Guisborough Ladies hosted Seaham Coast at home in their final pre-season friendly on Sunday 31st August.

In the first 15 minutes, Guisborough had the majority of the posession creating some good chances but not making the most of them, while Seaham looked dangerous on the counter attack and kept Guisborough on their toes.

The deadlock was finally broken after a good passage of play down the right ended with Anna Trainor finding Rebecca Andrew (sponsored by Glow & Grow) just out side the area who cut inside her marker and fired the ball into the net via the bar.

The game continued in the same fashion until a Guisborough corner got cleared out to Andrew who delivered a pin point cross for the oncoming Gracie Mcloughlin (sponsored by The Yellow Boats Whitby) to sweep into the net.

In the second half, Seaham came out more attacking and there were chances for both sides.

It was Seaham who scored next when Guisborough gave the ball away in midfield. The away team took advantage and a great strike from out side the area flew into the top corner. 2-1.

Guisborough upped their game and created a few good chances before finally a cross from Maisie Skelton (sponsored by The Top House Boosebeck) was met on the run by Trainor to place it into the bottom corner for 3-1.

Guisborough kept pushing for another goal with Ellie Evans (sponsored by Manius IT Systems) and Andrew going close, before a great flowing move ended up with Connie Robinson in the area with time and space to fire in Guisborough’s fourth.
