Guisborough Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Tymon as First Team Manager, with Jason Kennedy joining as Assistant Manager.

Guisborough Chair Andrew Bell said of the appointment: “Following a thorough appointment process, the Board is confident that Matthew and Jason are the right people to take the football club forward into its next chapter.

Throughout our discussions, it became clear that both Matthew and Jason share the ambitions, values and vision that we have for Guisborough Town Football Club. Their passion, knowledge of the game and desire to build something successful really stood out.

As a club, we have made tremendous progress over recent years, both on and off the pitch. Our ambition is to continue that journey, but equally important is establishing long-term stability, creating the right environment for players to develop and building a footballing structure that can deliver sustainable success.

We believe Matthew and Jason are fully aligned with those objectives and have the commitment, enthusiasm and qualities needed to help us achieve them.

This appointment is about building for the future, maintaining the strong identity and values of our football club and ensuring we continue to move forward together.

I am genuinely excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working closely with Matthew and Jason as we get this new project underway.

I would also encourage our fantastic supporters to get right behind the new management team and the players. Your support has been instrumental in everything we have achieved so far, and I have no doubt it will continue to play a huge part in our future success.”
