Three Points on the Road for the Ladies!

Guisborough Town Ladies travelled to Northallerton looking to bounce back after a couple of weeks off.

The game couldn’t have started better for Guisborough when the ball fell to Lyla Paisley (sponsored by TNT Fitness) who put Guisborough 1-0 up in the first 2 minutes with a left foot finish.

After a few chances, Guisborough made it 2-0 when Faith Brown had a shot saved but Gracie McLoughlin (sponsored by Whitby Coastal Cruises) was there to put the rebound in.

Guisborough controlled the first half with the back 4 working well to keep Northallerton at bay. On the rare occasion they did get through in the first half, Maddie McCormick made a great save one on one.

The second half was again, filled with Guisborough chances. Even as Northallerton looked to get back, Macey Lyons did a great job helping the defence and marking one of Northallerton’s main threats out of the game.

It wasn’t until the 81st minute that Guisborough finally made it three with super-sub Connie Robinson (sponsored by Robinsons Landscaping Teesside) coming on and doing what she does best with a cut back and great finish into the right corner.

Just before the final whistle, McLoughlins persistence paid off and she got her second of the game with a good finish past the keeper, from an Emma Walton (sponsored by Andrew & Amy Bell) through ball.
