Guisborough swoop for Marske star Jack Blackford
Guisborough have pulled off a major transfer coup with the capture of former Marske United star winger Jack Blackford (pictured above at the KGV earlier today).
The Priorymen are absolutely delighted to welcome back Jack, who impressed immensely during his loan spell at Guisborough last season.
Jack has signed a one-year deal with Guisborough as a contracted player with an option to extend this further if both parties agree.
Guisborough Manager Steve Bell was clearly delighted at the capture of Jack, commenting:
I’m absolutely over the moon to get Jack in.
It looked like he was moving to Stockton Town at one stage but I was still keeping a close eye on what was going on and when that potential move broke down then as a club we all decided signing Jack would represent a huge statement for our club.
Jack brings out and out pace to the team along with his natural talent.
I couldn’t be happier to have him back at the KGV. What’s just as important is that Jack is a brilliant lad who will fit in perfectly with the already good group we are developing here.
