As Chairman of Guisborough Town Football Club, I would like to personally ask everyone in our town and surrounding community to get behind your football club during what is becoming a truly special season.
Over the past few years the Board has worked incredibly hard to build the club in the right way – sustainably, responsibly and with a long-term vision. Thanks to that effort, and the dedication of our management team and players, we now have a genuine opportunity to achieve something historic: to compete at the highest level of football Guisborough Town has ever reached.
We are currently sitting second in the league in a promotion position and have three games in hand on the team above us. If we win those games, we go top of the league into the automatic promotion place and, if successful, the club would compete next season in the Northern Premier League East Division.
We have just 4 home matches remaining at the Kevin Edward KGV Stadium, along with 6 away fixtures and coach travel available for some games, we need you with us for every step of the run-in.
If you have never been to a Guisborough Town match before, you will receive a warm welcome and a great experience. If you have been before, you will already know the club provides a friendly, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for children, adults, families, supporters and local businesses alike. We are proud to provide a fully accessible ground so all supporters can attend and enjoy a matchday. We have a fully licensed bar, food hut and entertainment after matches, and hospitality packages are available to further enhance your experience.
Attendances have been rising throughout the season as more and more people discover what the club has to offer – you won’t want to miss this moment. In years to come, people will talk about this period in the club’s history.
Football clubs at our level survive and succeed because of people, not budgets. Our volunteers give up countless hours behind the scenes, often unseen and unrecognised, and without them this club simply would not exist. We are also incredibly fortunate to have the backing of so many loyal and generous sponsors who continue to believe in what we are building here.
Now we are asking the whole community to play its part.
