Major developments boost hopes for new season
It may be what is traditionally called the ‘closed’ soccer season – but down at the KGV Guisborough Town have been well and truly ‘open for business’ as exciting new plans for the new season are taking shape.
Guisborough Town Manager Gary Forster and his new Assistant Manager David Onions have wasted no time at all improving their squad by clinching the exciting signing of former KGV favourite Ste Snaith from West Auckland.
The bustling Boro-born starlet who can play in midfield or attack was delighted to re-sign for the Priorymen and team boss Gary was particularly pleased to bring him back to the KGV.
And Gary has moved quickly to secure the signatures of many of last season’s best performers including the likes of midfielder and fans’ Player of the Year Mark Robinson, winger Steve Roberts, strikers Mason McNeill and Danny Earl and defenders Matthew Crust and Dylan McAvoy.
Off the field, Guisborough Town Chairman Don Cowan has been delighted to announce the appointment of Courtney Jones as the club’s new Commercial Manager.
Don commented: “We’re very pleased indeed to have secured the services of Courtney to ratchet up the commercial side of our operations – she has all the relevant experience in sales and marketing and we look forward very much to working with her at the club.”
Guisborough are also delighted that Lenny Reed has bolstered the club’s Communications Team by agreeing to take the lead on the Guisborough Town Twitter feed as well continuing to assist with detailed analysis and intelligence for Gary Forster and his management team on Guisborough Town’s opponents next season.
Meanwhile Guisborough Town will be holding an Open Trial Day at Laurence Jackson School in Saturday, 15th June from 3pm-5pm with a view to recruiting potential players for the club’s senior side and also the clubs Under-23 and Under-18 teams.
More details on all of the above can be found on Guisborough Town’s official Twitter feed at: @guistownfc
More news on further positive developments at the KGV will be announced as and when they occur.
