Alfie Doherty Signs
Midfielder Alfie Doherty signs for The Priorymen from Spennymoor Town
Guisborough Town are delighted to announce the signing of Alfie Doherty from Spennymoor Town, and alfie is delighted to be reunited with Nathan Haslam who he played for previously at Whitby Town.
Nathan commented: “I know Alfie well as a lad and a player and know how to get best out of him. He is a great acquisition to push the team forward.”
Alfie has signed until the end of the season and subject to FA and League approval will be available to make his debut for the visit of Horden on Saturday.
Alfie also briefly featured for Guisborough during the 2023/24 season.
The former Middlesbrough youngster joined Spennymoor during the summer of 2025 following a spell in the colours of Whitby Town.
A hard-working and athletic player, Doherty is comfortable in a number of different roles across midfield and brings great energy to the team.
As well as playing for Whitby, the versatile star has also enjoyed time on loan with Marske United, Hebburn Town and Blyth Spartans.
