Statement Regarding Points Deduction

GTFC can confirm that we have received notification from the Northern League of their decision to impose a 3 point deduction.

Following a caution issued to the club in pre season, the subsequent fine was missed on the system used; which imposed a late fine, and then a suspension on the club from playing until paid. The club did not know either a late fine or suspension had been imposed but information was on the FA system

During this suspension, the club played a league fixture due to being unaware of being unable to do so. We were later informed by telephone call of the what had happened, the fine was paid immediately and suspension lifted.

Due to playing while suspended, the Northern League have made the decision to fine the club and deduct points as well as a fine issued by the County FA

The club acknowledged the charge and pleaded leniency as well as putting measures in place to ensure this does not happen again

The Club wishes to apologise to its officials, players and supporters.
